spook.lines

This is my spook.lines file for the spook command in emacs. Spook (invoke with M-x spook if you have a standard emacs install) inserts a bunch of suspect words and phrases into your e-mail (or any document) in an attempt to "jam" domestic electronic surveillance. This is an actual real threat to on-line privacy (EFF, ACLU, etc.) with systems like ECHELON and CARNIVORE (DCS1000). Sticking these words in your mail probably really annoys them.

The default collection of phrases is pretty short and a little bit outdated. I've extended it with the names of real terrorist groups, more current political figures, and lots more insurgent/illegal keywords. Of course, me listing these activities and groups in the file does not mean I support them in any way -- they are just meant to raise the flags of automatic surveillance software. Edit to your liking.

Since the spook.lines file contains null characters, I'm providing it compressed with gzip and compressed with zip. You can also take a look at the keywords, which follow on this page in raw text. Some keywords appear multiple times to increase the probability that they will be used.
